Mia and Cord

Modern and Timeless, yes..both in the same sentence. Mia and Cord’s wedding was nothing short of dreamy.

For their wedding, half of it was already planned by the Groom’s Mother, and then life happens and she got a bit overwhelmed. I was hired on to coordinate a few more vendors, work out budgets and be there as the day of coordinator.

Uhm- SOOO perfect right? I could just stop right here and you all would be satisfied and jealous of this perfection…but let’s swoon on some more shall we?

Florals were designed and arranged by Native Flower Company, these ceremony pieces were completely spectacular with the Fall colors in the background

Centerpieces included succulents and metallic vases

The couple walked up the aisle together- YES! It was so romantic, the Bride was met at the end of the aisle by her sweet Groom and they held hands together all the way to the alter.amandahendrickson-199

That glowing smile!

You guys, there are so many ways a wedding can be had. I don’t even go by tradition these days because all of my weddings have been so different, and I LOVE IT, I love it because this day is their day, not mine! Who am I to tell them no when it is something they  know will make the Day complete.

Can we talk sequins here? This wedding had an abundant amount, from linens to Bridal party to cake!

The Wedding Party was as dashing as ever, and those floral crowns on the bridesmaids were so perfect!

The ring bearer is obsessed with watching his neighborhood garbage man come and dump the bins every week. It’s a THING,  and his mom is so sweet about it, to incorporate that into the ceremony, the ring holder was a mini garbage can. I could seriously tell you it was a memorable inclusion that will always be talked about.

The vibrant pops of color in the bouquet and crown just completed this entire look. Mia had a great vision in her head when she was dreaming up her ultimate bridal style.  We can all be envious!

Congratulations Mia and Cord, I wish you all the happiness life has to offer, it was such an honor to be there to witness all the love!

This was my last purchase…a Garter

When I got married, the very last thing I purchased was a garter. It was out of sight out of mind type of thing, and so you know, the second to last thing I bought was my wedding dress. Since I’ve been a wedding planner, I put it into every budget. Brides, many times, ask me where they should get one and I usually just told them the dress shop they purchased their gown at, and then I stumbled upon The Garter Girl , by Julianne Smith. I am  SO glad there’s a better resource out there to show off these things, and that they are handmade, they make me appreciate them a little more, and because if you know me, I have a soft spot for handmade items. If you want to get to know her more you can jump over to her site, but I made it easy for you here…I just stole it from  her site…but, is she not seriously relateable?? I mean..Food Network ?! BFF’s we could be Julianne, BFF’s.

Michelle and Ben

Michelle had received a wedding consultation from me and it included a 2 hour  meeting, a checklist, budget help and answers to some of her planning questions along the adventurous wedding planning path. Her and Ben came to the face to face meeting, and afterwards, she told me she was glad that Ben got to see how involved wedding planning was. It’s a lot of work people, and she did it fantastically!

Followed by first look photos, the wedding ceremony took place at Tracy Aviary, with the most amazing ceremony backdrop by Native Flower Company! And the reception was a complete blast, fire included! (on purpose). The details were shot wonderfully by Whitney Hunt.

One of the funnest weddings I have been to, the guests were so great! Both Bride and Groom were in the Greek System at Utah State and it  was so sweet to see the Alumni do their respective house songs and reunite, in some cases.

“Rolling on the River” by Tina Turner was a song that made the wedding party literally roll on the ground, that was really funny, and during the ceremony, the officiant who is the Bride’s really great friend, accidentally announced them man and wife…by her last name! it was so comical and endearing at the same time.

Her cake by The Blonde who Bakes, was a naked carrot cake, “just a little guy” said Michelle when she was telling me what she wanted. And their catering of the Pizza Truck was really , really yummy! Dessert was Aggie Blue macarons by The Blonde Who Bakes.

A fun thing Michelle and Ben brought to the wedding was a one of a kind signed album by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, after sending them an invitation to their wedding, with a letter of wedding wishes!13923589_977124344049_6034666937671755388_o

Wild in the Summertime: Albion Basin

see this featured on Rocky Mountain Bride!

We are in love with Albion Basin here, with the vibrant green mountainside, tall trees, and all the wildflowers. We wanted to capture this spirit with our model, Chloe Cox, who wore a Natalie Wynn gown and carried an abundant bouquet made by Nature’s Own Fleurish. We love the contrast of Chloe’s red hair against the green mountainside, and the colors of the bouquet echo the colors in the surrounding wildflowers.

Boho vibes mixed with tradition! I am smitten over this styled shoot! I love our Utah mountains!

For Shyanne, we have the Sennet Gown from Elizabeth Cooper Design, her bouquet made by Jason of Green in A Grey World. I love the blue thistle and pop of white roses in her florals and that hair piece couldn’t be more unexpected, but then you add those braids! Hair by Jessica Fullmer and Make Up by Kai Gunderson

Aymee and Geoffrey

502a6128

WOW! In one word describing this couple. I had the complete honor of planning the wedding for Aymee and Geoffrey for their August nuptials!

They reside in Florida so this was a destination wedding for them and we planned it in about 90 days. It was a lot of emails, phone calls and texting and it all turned out beautifully.

This elegant mountain wedding started at the Salt Lake Temple and continued with a ring ceremony in Alta a the Snow Pine Lodge.

The day prior, Bridals were taken by Anastasia Strate Photography, complete with first looks and all, and then they headed up to albion basin to complement how stunning this couple really is!
